It's the week following the world-wide church celebration, of it’s annual historical event (Resurrection weekend). However, does the celebration of this annual event, provide any daily impact within our world, community, or daily lives?
Every year during the months of March, or April the world is nationally reminded of God’s love towards mankind. John 3:16-18 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
So, there never exist any doubt of how much God has loved the world. However, that’s not what needs to be examined. The real question is DO WE LOVE GOD? Is there any daily impact being made in our world, community, or personal life from this annually historical celebration (God’s love towards mankind)?
🔸🔸🔸Romans 5:8-11 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
There is a strong difference between how one lives, based on what they KNOW and what they BELIEVE! We KNOW the history of God’s love toward mankind, its reported to us every week at many church services. But, what is the daily impact of those weekly repeated history lessons, in our daily conduct towards one another? Do we listen to the nightly news reports, filled with fear and anxiety, more than listening to God’s Biblicially recorded words of hope and love? What effects us more fear, or faith?
What is going to be the reported impact of what just took place (on this past weekend) for the world? We KNOW what has happened as the history, but what do we BELIEVE in, as the future?
Is our world becoming any better, because the church world annually reminds us of what God’s love has done (through his only begotten son Jesus Christ-Historically)? Or, has our world become more cynical (def: believing that people are motivated by self-interest; distrustful of human sincerity or integrity) and/or apathetic (def: showing or feeling no interest, enthusiasm, or concern)? How often do we hear the words, “I don’t know, I don’t want to know, or I really don’t care?”[Definitions supplied by the New Oxford American Dictionary app version 2.2.1(194), copyright 2005-2016 apple Inc.]
As far as what God’s Love has done, that’s history! As, far as what you do next with your love towards God, that’s destiny! What is your daily assessment of what God has done for you (over all the years of your life)? Is the answer Anything, Everything, or Nothing? It’s not what you KNOW that shapes your future; it’s what you BELIEVE that has eternal destiny power! Are you a historian, or an impact player?
