God doesn’t choose me for his work because I am confident, but because he knows I am capable!(because of how he made me).
“When I do in faith, what God knows I am capable of, I build confidence!”
“MY identity in life, is not defined by what I do for myself, but what I accomplish in God, by helping others find God for themselves.”
Can God be like me? We assess the value and credibility of people in our lives, based upon what they do for US!
That says that our lives are about US. We as a people, are more concerned about the welfare of ourselves, than the worship of God! If JESUS’ life wasn’t about himself, and you believe he came to accomplish a work in God for YOU. How do you believe in Jesus, and say your life is about YOU?
Can God be to ME like I am to him? What do I do for GOD, that’s of value to GOD?
We say to others, based on “what you contribute to the value of my livelihood,” defines how much of ME you can have! “The less you do for me, the less YOU have of me.” Humm, that says everything is about Me! (Is performance, the key to life for you, is there nothing else in life for you, than how I can perform for YOU?)
At this season in my life, I have become aware of this truth. “Knowing about the truth, does “Not” set you free, unless you “APPLY” that truth-properly.” John 8:32
We, as intelligently informed people, are a people of much talk and no action. WE HAVE AN OPINION ABOUT EVERYTHING! We are hearers only, not doers! James 1:22
Today, it’s NOT that we don’t know, it’s that we DON’T DO, WHAT WE KNOW TO DO, or NOT TO DO!
God has, and will always have, a frustration with stubborn, stiff-necked, rebellious people. The proof is all throughout the Bible!
And before one thinks God is not love because of that, let me ask a question?
Do YOU have a problem with anyone you love, and you do things for them, but they are stubborn, stiff-necked, and rebellious toward you?
Have you ever had enough with continuing doing for those persons, regardless of your love for them?
Can God be like YOU? Is GOD allowed to have enough of ME, like I have enough of others in MY life?
How can I see myself as fair toward them, but God has to only be love toward ME, and I won’t GIVE MY love toward others? Humm?
Why does Church “always” have to be about ME, and not about God? DO I always ask:
What will this Church do for me on Sunday, regardless of what I refuse to do for God all week long? Encourage ME, Entertain ME, Give Me what I need, I have had a rough week!
Where in God’s word does it say the church was started because of ME? My bible says it was started as result of a belief in the work Jesus did at Calvary (not in a manger). Acts 2:37-43
This is a season in the generation of life, where proper APPLICATION of the over abundance of knowledge, is MISSING!
>>Too much information, too less application!<<
I never thought that having a personal relationship with God (on God’s terms) would not be popular. However, in 2 Tim 3:2 (amp 2015) Paul informs Timothy that “…people will be lovers of self(Narcissistic, self-focused)…” it’s all about ME, not God! That is, until I want God to DO something for ME (regardless of how I have not lived for Him)! REALLY?
Can God be to me like I am to Him?
Scriptures referenced above:
John 8:32 Amplified Bible (AMP)
32 And you will know the truth [regarding salvation], and the truth will set you free [from the penalty of sin].”
James 1:22 (AMP)
22 But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth].
Acts 2:37-43 (AMP)
37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart [with remorse and anxiety], and they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what are we to do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is for you and your children and for all who are far away [including the Gentiles], as many as the Lord our God calls to Himself.” 40 And Peter solemnly testified and continued to admonish and urge them with many more words, saying, “[g]Be saved from this crooked and unjust generation!” 41 So then, those who accepted his message were baptized; and on that day about [h]3,000 souls were added [to the body of believers]. 42 They were continually and faithfully devoting themselves to the instruction of the apostles, and to fellowship, to [i]eating meals together and to prayers.
43 A sense of awe was felt by [j]everyone, and many wonders and signs (attesting miracles) were taking place through the apostles.
2 Tim 3:2 AMP
2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane,
